![humours that are within the body of man, leaving no impuricy to remain in the fame. : Bafilius Valentinus Afonachus, compareth it to a Ring withouc beginning,without ending , for that his medicinall and naturall virtues are infcrurable and patt finding out. Many are che Medicines that are prepared of this Minerall both againtt inward and outward infirmities, but I freely and willingly difclaim from them all,(efpecially for inward caufes) faving only the Regulus,and what may be conveniently prepared by help of che fame, faying with learned and con{cionable Dancanss,Cetera {Ciens omitto, tangquam pernitiofs medicamenta, Fatroch. Born, pag. 91. Con- tenting my felf with chat, which by authority and te{timony of the learned , and the experiments of my worchy friends , and by com. mon practice and experience fhall be (by Godsgrace ) invincibly confirmed. The firft cornerftone of my building fhall be thatof Dancanus, confirmed alfo by laborius and learned Adilius , Hic Regulus eft femmum auri examen, ac vera omnium foram, & tinu- rarum medicinalium , in Antimonio exiftentinm materia, thatis, this Regulus is the chiefeft examination of gold, and the true fubje& ‘and matter ofall medicinall virtues , contained within the body of Antimony. Tothisagreeth the teftimony of Bufilius V akentinus Monachus, calling it Regulus, five Dominus medicine. Divine Authoriry,Nature,and Experience confirmerh this truth for as life is hid in man, fo inall things whether Animal, Vegitable, or Minerall, itisinvifibly incentred, and {o panually indifcer- nable, that according ro the learned Philofopher Adich.
