No text description is available for this image![158 A circular Stand for Syllabub Glasses, on fluted pedestal stem and domed foot with folded edge ; 92n. diameter 1584 A Wine Glass, straight-sided bowl, on single knopped air spiral stem, 6in. high ; and one with ogee bowl, on short opaque white spiral stem and plain foot, 430. high 2 Ube Property of Miss Taylor, | of Bournemouth. 159 | A VERY FINE JACOBITE GOBLET, bell-shaped bowl, engraved with a seven-petalled rose and two buds, star, and thistle with bud on one stem, and a SUPERBLY : S86 ENGRAVED PORTRAIT OF PRINCE CHARLES EDWARD Pt —f with Order of the Garter, profile and facing to left, with a ys X on sash across breast ; the bust is surrounded by a chaplet of berried laurel leaves; on two-knopped stem with air twist, conical foot ; height 940n. *.* THIS MAGNIFICENT GLASS is undoubtedly a fellow both to the “ Revirescit’’ glass of Miss Trelawny, which was sold in these Rooms on Mar. 9 of this year, Lot 133, and to the noble Goblet inscribed with the rare Vir- gilian motto ‘“‘Turno Tempus erit,’? which was illus- trated in the ‘‘ Burlington Magazine,’ June 1920. Karly in the 19th Century this glass was in the posses- sion of Samuel Mumford, of Chobham, Surrey, and on the death of his widow it passed to his youngest son, George Mumford, who was the uncle of the present owner and died at Bournemouth in 1913.
