![tions are sold at or about cost price at the Health Centres. 13 and 14. Measles and Whooping Cough:— (a) These diseases are not notifiable in the County. (b) Number of Deaths—Measles, 0; Whooping Cough, 0. [Dollar, 0]. (c) Number of cases removed to Hospital, 0. (d) Several domiciliary visits were made by the Health Visitors. (No record was kept.) (e) No special staff was required. 15. Ophthalmia Neonatorum.—One case was notified by a doctor in Alloa. No blindness resulted. 16. Maternity Hospitals.—Three ante-natal cases and five abnormal confinements were treated in Glasgow Maternity Hospital and the County Hospital, Alloa. 1/. Homes for Unmarried Mothers.—No cases were sent to such Homes. 18. Hospitals for Sick Children. Sixty-seven children were admitted to various Hospitals, including the Hospitals for Sick Children, Glasgow and Edinburgh, the Royal Infirmaries, Glasgow and Edinburgh, and the local Hospitals. The conditions treated were hernia, phimosis, empyema, rickety and other deformities, abscesses, burns, enlarged tonsils and adenoids, ophthalmia, pneumonia, eye defects, etc. 19. 20 and 21. Convalescent Homes, Boarding-out, Home Helps.—There is nothing to report about these matters. 22. Educational.—See under Welfare Centres above. 23. Agencies Associated with Scheme The Committees keep in touch with Parish Councils and public voluntary agencies which deal with welfare work. 24. Other Provisions.— Cases of pneumonia are admitted to the County Fever Hospital if accommodation is available. Arrangements are in force for the provision of Insulin.
