    [ ?? 3 rood wherewith ’tis loaded : Mine, on he contrary, has no one ill Effeft upon ny Part of the Body, that I ever yet :ou’d hear of; and tho’ the Compofition ieems unelaborate and fimple, ’tis, I am ;ertain, endowed with excellent Virtues, is well upon account of the Wine, as he other Ingredients. The Receipt is his. Take of Sevil Orange-peel, lhaved mo- ; derately thin, and gently dry’d, One Pound, Galangal-Root, fliced, Half a Pound, Gentian-Root, fliced, Four Ounces, Cardamom-Seeds, husk’d and grofsiy bruis’d, One Ounce, Mountain Wine, Four Gallons, White Tort, One Gallon and a Half, Old Malaga, Two Quarts, Old red Tort, One Quart. _,et all thefe Hand together in cold In- ufion for Three or Four Days, then Irain off the Wine into another Veflel, and in a Day or two’s time it will be fit ror Ufe. This Bitter, thus prepared, has a de- ightful Colour, Scent and Talte ; but if t Hands too long upon the Ingredients, t fetches out their earthy or gummy Part, ind fo becomes naufeous to the Palate, and
