    USE OF THE BOILING PLATES Remember these six points to ensure the best and most economical operation. 1 To obtain quickly the maximum heat emission from the boiling plates, switch to HIGH. When the switch is turned to MED. approximately half maximum heat is available whilst LOW gives approximately only quarter of the full amount. This only applies to REVO Enclosed Boiling Plates. Other type of plates are loaded slightly differently. 2 After the switch has been turned OFF there remains a certain amount of residual heat, and thoughtful housewives will save money by switching OFF and utilizing residual heat to finish the cooking. 3 When cooking vegetables, fish or fruit in a pan with a lid, it is only necessary to bring to the boil with switch at HIGH, and then switch OFF. 4 As an example of economical use, it is interesting to know that three pans can be kept simmering on one boiling plate with the switch at LOW. (This, of course, depends on the size of the plates and pans). On those REVO Cookers fitted with four-heat control to the boiling plates, the switches -may be turned to the SIMMERING position. 5 Form the good economical habit of switching OFF, whenever the pans are removed from the boiling plates. 6 The residual heat in the boiling plates may often be usefully used, in heating a pan of water.
