As for my fpecifical Powder for wounds, or hurts, of that nature, take the white of an Egg and beat it well, then take fo much of it as may well wet a pledget, and fo much lint fcraped from an old rag,or fo much tow as will cover the hurt, then mix fo much Powder with the white of the Egg, of honey, ftir them well together, and the lint, or fine flax, or tow in it, and lay it to the place, bind it on very gently, only {o hard as will keep it from falling off’ And although it doth prefently cure it, yet you had not beft take it off in foarty eight hours, be perfectly weil, you may take a little more, but it isnot one Hurt or Cut in a thoufand that you will ufe it twice, with- out it be a deep thruft, or fhot in the Thigh, where it may not reach the bot- tom, but for any ordinary hurt though it be never fo broad, or torn, it cures it at the firft drefling , and‘ takes away all pain and fwelling in half an hour, andim- mediately {tops the bleeding, Remember, the fooner you apply it the better.
