The charm of those issues 1s to be found solely in the repulanes | of the type, to which Bodoni gave endless attention and care, and to the extraordinarily fine feeling for proportion, which each of — manner of varying the lettering and the most scrupulous care m_ the choice of the paper, makes nearly all the impressions, even those — of the most trifling occasional productions, model creations. The present catalogue, representing the result of years of labour — as complete as possible, not only the great model achievements, also the slighter occasional impressions which have become espe- cially rare to-day, as they are the most exposed to the danger of destruction, but which are inchcpensal for the knowledge of
