    METEOROLOGY. The observations given below are extracted from the weekly reports of observations taken at Greenwich Observatory, a course justified by the geographical position of the Borough immediately to the North of Greenwich. They show that the registered sunshine of the year w^as 1,633’8 hours, being 215'8 hours more than in 1907. The hottest day was 3rd July, when the temperature reached 84-0 degrees, and the coldest day was 30th December, when it sank to 12T degrees. The number of rairi}^ days was 167, the total rainfall of the jmar being 23’84 inches. The greatest daily fall occurred on 13th July, when T04 inches fell. Meteorology during 1908. Temperature.
