    Fourth^ The duties of the Pupils shall be—to attend punctual¬ ly at the Dispensary on the same days with the Medical Officer to whom they are attached; to assist him in registering the Patients ; to visit at their own houses, and prescribe for such Patients as he may direct; and to perform the dressings and lesser operations when required. Fifths The prescriptions of Pupils must be made with a strict regard to economy; and when written on the usual papers issued at the Dispensary, must have the date and the initials of the Pupil annexed. When written on a piece of blank paper, they must have the letters “N. T. D.” at top, and the date and full signature of the Pupil below; together with the name, address, and disease of the Patient. Sixths All orders for Leeches must be countersigned by the Medical Officer to whom the Pupil is attached. Seventh^ Pupils will also be received for the Midwifery depart¬ ment, on similar terms, provided they satisfy the IMedical Officers superintending that branch of their competency to engage in it. Eighth., Certificates of attendance will be given to such Pupils as require them, but not for any period less than three months.
