![the leaf, wliich is at length pierced with minute round orifices ; asci oblong, distinct, containing several oblong, septate sporidia. Berk. Eng. Fl. Y.p.268. Ann. N.II. no. 179. On leaves of cherry laurel. Aug. Near Edinburgh. Spots 1^-2^ lines broad, completely 'penetrating the leaf so as to present nearly the same appearance on either side.
