Dear Dr. Anderson, I am sorry not to have replied earlier to your letter of 4th December. I myself cannot easily come to Liverpool in May and Sydney Brenner will be away in the States at that time. However Dr. A.O.W. Stretton, who has been work ing with Brenner on amber and related mutants^would be very pleased to attend the symposium and give a lecture. I suggest you correspond with him directly on what you would like him to talk about. Perhaps he and Alderson should get together to make sure their presentations do not overlap. Yours sincerely, P.
