    CASE XV. Of the Tumefattion of the Glands in the Neck, with an Ulcer in the Wrift. HE Virtue of this Remedy in Ulcers ] acompanied with any Fluxion, will ap- . pear by the following Cure. A certain Perfon had an ulcerated Tumor on the Joint of the . Wrift, and the Glands of -his Neck were fcro- phulous ; but he recovered by taking an Elec- tary of /Ethiops Mineral, and by purging with Sea Water. And this Remedy is fo certain a Cure, that Mr. Webb, a Surgeon of London, whom I have mentioned in another Place, in a Letter I lately received from him, amoneft other Things writes thus, But this I affirm from certain Experience, that where the Difeafe as fettled upon the Bones of the Wrift, ak the Ankle, this Methed is always fuccefsful 5. and further adds, That be had feen an obftinate Dif- £afe of tbe Arm cured by the fame Method. — _ But when the Fluxion is derived from the affected Part, it fometimes falls upon another ; and this happened in the Patient above men- tioned ; for when he was cured, a large, hard Tumor began to rife in the inner Part of his Knee, but he was cured by the fame Medi- cines as before, though the Tumor was almoft as hard as a Bone; and I remember almoft the fame
