COUTTS’ GUARANTEED AORTIC ACID, | IN CATARRHs RELAXED SORE THROAT, BRONCHITIS, CHEST COM. - PLAINTS, DEAFNESS, INFLAMED EYES, AND HEADACHES. DILUTE one part of Acetic Acid in eight parts of water [less or more].in the bottle — belonging to the Spray Producer, place the longer part of the tube into the bottle, attach the rubber tube carefully to the end of the vulcanite tube; work the bellows ~~ with one hand, and as the fine spray leaves the tube, inhale or draw in the spray with the breath. oz For CATARRA, draw up the spray into the nostrils, breathing out and in until the nose is clear ; for Chronie Catarrh a daily inhalation is recommended until a permanent cure is effeeted, 2 ae tee ae The Spray has also been found to have beneficial effects in cases of deafness caused by. cold, swelling under the jaw, or the closing of the Eustachian tube; also many have used it when there is weakness and inflammation of the eyes with much benefit, the first action of the diluted Acid being to cause a smarting sensation ; this soon passes away, __- leaving the eyes strengthened, soothed and relieved. The Spray is also used on the Forehead for Headaches, and the effects are both soothing and relieving. 5 This inhalation of the Spray may be taken several times a day, but always to advan- tage inthe morning, when there is a huskiness in the voice, or secretion of mucus in © — the throat or bronchial tubes, also before leaving the house for. exposure in the cold air. Bes : ; : eS The time required for inhalation may vary for a minute or two, as may be found — agreeable, as the action of the Spray on the mucous membrane will be to stimulate, and afterwards to soothe and give tone. : Sart . For Ministers, Missionaries, Public Speakers, and all who wish to SING with greater EASE and POWER of voice, the Acetic Spray will prove itself INVALUABLE, as it is the very requisite to give tone to the muscles, nerves, and the blood-vessels of the throat. Messrs. CoUTTS recommend the inhalation, in addition to the outward application, to nerve-centres and local parts, as the outward application can be PERMANENTLY — relied upon, whilst the Acetic Spray forms a valuable auxiliary. No one need be afraid ~ to try the OUTWARD application: or inward inhalation, as the vinegar used is of the — purest kind, and free from any poisonous quality. , ; =f Fg Should the Acetic Spray prove unpleasant to any person, a few drops of the essence. ~ of peppermint or cloves will change the flavour. ae ast = GENERAL SUGGESTIONS AS TO DIET.
