    [ 3^ ] ' I. The firft fpecies of johnbellation is negative and pojitive johnbellation, or johnbellation properly fo called. This is the fpecies which we have defcribed above. As example is in all cafes better than pre- cept, inftead of laying down rules for tiling it, we fhall produce a beautiful example or two from that volume of our author’s valuable waitings which we are at prefent confidering. 1. “ Not upon any animal, but in the human body.” (P. 123.) 2. “ Natilre has appointed in every breathing crea- “ ture two hearts.” (P. 4.)—“ The frog, the newt, c< the toad, have one Jingle and heautijul heart.” (P- so ■ ’ 3. “ Of an hundred meafures of atmofpheric air* tc we find twenty-feven only to confift of vital or pure <c air; feventy-two confift of azotic air as it is called, u fatal to animal life; and one meafure only is fixed. “ air, which is alfo an unrefpirable air.
