    ” RULES. 1V.—If any Subscriber shall allow his An- nual Subscription to remain unpaid after the Meeting in December, he shall receive a notice | from the Librarian; and if the arrears shall re- fj main unpaid for the space of six months after [@ ' such notice, he shall no longer be considered a V.—‘‘ Each Member may have at one time, a whole work of any number of Volumes, but not two Volumes of different Works at the same from the Librarian, on forfeiture of Five Shillings, nor lend a Book to a Non-Subscriber (except a resident in his house,) under forfeiture of One Guinea. Books returned in a damaged state, shall be repaired at the expense of the Subscriber so returning them; and if mutilated or lost, the Subscriber shall refund the original price of. the work. y, VI.—“‘Subscribers may keep a work in Folio, for three weeks; in Quarto, a fortnight; in Octavo, and Duodecimo, ten days inclusive; the time to be marked by the Librarian in each Book. The forfeits for Books kept after the above-men- tioned periods, shall be for Folios and Quartos, two-pence per diem; for Octavos, Duodecimos and Periodicals, one penny per diem.”
