![«Sir, My practice in collieries has not yet afforded me an opportunity of adopting your plan of applying stimulants in any desperate cases of burns; but in the slighter or superficial cases of burns, I have found them act like a charm. am informed that the practice of immersing the part in cold water for the space of twelve or fourteen hours after the accident, is in general use in Edinburgh.
