![- [*3] I voûr us/ He fills our Minds with wicked S'ug- i geftions : He feizes upon Bodies, and when he has I once made himfelf Matter of them, he does not t always betray his Prefence by Fits of Madnels* :i He fometimes Laughs, he Sings, and delights in j puzzling the Minifters of the Church who attempt | to conjure him forth. He argues with the ut- I molt Coolnefs, as when he tempted Je fus Chrift f in the Defart, and feduced Eve in the earthly Paradife. That it may be truly faid that the Devils carry their Hell with them every where, is it neceffary that they fhould actually undergo the Tortures of it ? No. It is enough that they be condemned to it by an irrevoable Decree, of which they every ' where](https://iiif.wellcomecollection.org/image/b30376166_0021.jp2/full/800%2C/0/default.jpg)
