![Comparing the number of Recoveries with the average number of Patients resident during the year 1858, the proportion is found to be about 14.273 per Cent., or 14.102 on the Men, and 14.444 on the Women.—The general average per Centage of Recoveries during the preceding 13 years was 19.9 upon both sexes; 16.619 on the Men, and *22,777 on the Women, [See Table A]. With respect to the Mortality during the past year, the general per centage of Deaths on the average number of Patients of both Sexes was 9.79 ; that of the Men being 9.615, and that of the Women 10.—This per centage of Deaths is below the aggregate average proportion of the 13 preceding years which amounts to 13. 67 on the Men, and 8.36 on the Women ; or a total per centage of 10.99 on the average number of Patients of both Sexes resident during that period. [Sec Table Bj.
