![134 Arthur (Prince).—Autograph of King Henry VIII. to a Warrant for the delivery of certain articles of bedding for the use of our dearest Sister the Princess of Castile, widow of Prince Arthur, 21. 2s. - Greenwich, July 3, 1511 %* One of the most interesting warrants in the series, from the minute particulars it affords of the domestic economy of the royal household. The prices and value of each article are specially mentioned. The king’s signature is singularly fine and hold. 135 Arthur (Prince.)—Autograph of King Henry VIII. to a Warrant ordering Sir Andrew Wyndesor, Knt., Keeper of the Great Wardrobe, to provide with speedy diligence, three lodgings in Calais, for the Emperor; my Lord the Prince of Castile ; and my Lady Margaret, Archduchess of Austria, 21. 2s. - - Greenwich, March 8, 1513 136 Arthur (Prince.)—Autograph of King Henry VIII. to a Warrant for delivering for the use of our dearest Sister the Princess of Castile, widow of Prince Arthur, two vestments, one of crimson velvet, with a cross of tissue on the back, holland for albes and altar cloths, two yards of black velvet “ for a bagge to put her bokes in,” and two yards of bokram for lining the same, “ a masse boke of faire printe, price six shillings and eight-pence,” a standard to put in and keep all the said stuffe, price twenty-five shillings and eight-pence, &c. 1/. 11s. 6d. - Castle of Windsor, Nov. 28, 1513 137 Arthur (Prince).—Autograph of King Henry VIII. to a Warrant to deliver to the use of the Princess of Castile a gown of cloth of gold tissue, with wide sleeves, lined with crymmyssen [crimson] satin, lining the gown, black sarsnet, kertel of black damask, &c. &c. 1/. 8s. Castle of Windsor, Dec. 3, 1513 %* A most interesting historical document. The articles of furniture are specially set forth. The above Princess of Castile was Catherine, daughter of Ferdinand, King of Spain, and widow of Arthur, Prince of Wales, eldest son of Henry VII., born 20th September, 1486, but died, without issue, 2nd April, 1502, five months after his marriage with the above princess, very much regretted by the whole nation. His widow, the above princess, was obliged to marry the second sun Henry, Prince of Wales (then only twelve years of age), afterwards Henry VIII., from whom he was divorced in 1533. 138 Arundell (Richard) Governor of Pendennis Castle, Corn- wall, Autograph Receipt for the Pay of the Garrison of the said Castle, 5s. - - Ocl. 25, 1661 139 Arundell Castle.—Warrant for the Payment of Thomas Lewkenor, Esq., certain Monies for pay of himself and men in keeping of Arundell Castle, with the Goods, Armour, &c., in his keeping, with the Autographs of Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester, Charles Howard, afterwards Earl of Notting- ham, Henry Carey, Lord Hunsdon, Sir Christopher Ilalt'on, and W.
