![SCHOLARSHIPS AND BURSARIES. The Arthur Scholarship of £20 for each of three years will be open to competition by Queen Margaret College Medical Students of First Year at the First Professional Examination in October, 1901. It is allowable to take part of the Examination in April, 1901. This Scholarship is the gift of Mrs. Arthur of Barshaw’ aud is restricted to Women Medical Students. The following Bursaries are open to Students of both sexes: The Mackintosh Mental Science Bursary, value about £31, tenable for one year, is open for competition annually, in June, to Matriculated Students of Medicine of either sex who have attended the Lectures on Insauity; the Bursar to continue the practical study of the subject to the satisfaction of the Faculty of Medicine. The Armagh Bursary, annual value about £45, tenable for three years, is open in 1901 to students who are presenting themselves for the Final Examination for the Degree of M.A. with Honours in Mathematics and Natural Philosophy. This Bursary may be held by a Medical Student. The Logan Bursary in Medicine, annual value £17, tenable for four years. Open to Students entering on their first Winter Session of study. [Next vacancy, 1901.] The Dr. Thomas Gibson Bursary, annual value about £30, tenable for four years. Open to Medical Students who are preparing for service as Medical Missionaries in connection with the Church of Scotland. It will be awarded to the eligible candidate who has gained the highest number of marks in the First Professional Examination. [Vacant in 1904.] The William Gardiner Bursary, annual value about£13 10s., tenable for two years, will be awarded after the Autumn Pro- fessional Examination to the candidate who has passed in Physiology of the Second Professional Examination, and whose aggregate of marks in that subject and in Chemistry and Physics of the First Professional Examination is the highest. [Open in 1901.] Four Buchanan Society Bursaries, in Arts, Science, or Medicine, open in 1901 ; annual value of Bursaries in Science or Medicine, £35; tenable three years. Awarded by the Buchanan Society to students of names Buchanan, M'Millan, M'Auslan, M‘Wattie, or Risk. Applications to be made to the Secretary of the Society, P. G.
