The laft was our worthy Prefident, but he giving her a Dofe of Ipecacuanha^ and that working very violently, put her out of all hopes of living. Mrs. Goedart was taken ill in Augufi of a Diar¬ rhoea : her Stools were a clear water, and fhe had a Stool almoft every hour. There was no Griping, file was feveriih, and made very little water. The Diarrhoea did not yield to purging Medi¬ cines, though the gentled, and given to the bed advantage ; neither were cordial and alexipharmac Medicines of any Ufe. So that on the 15th fiie took a vomit of Carduus-tea^ and afterwards a pofe of my Medicine for curing Fluxes ; fhe took . a fecond
