An analysis of midwifery: with the diseases incident to pregnancy, and those which commonly happen in the month, to child-bed women. Author's holograph MS. Illustrated by pasted-in engraved plates, and tracings of same in ink, and other pen and wash anatomical drawings, mostly from Smellie's 'Atlas', and a number of small rough pen-drawings of obstetrical subjects. Produced in Deptford.

Purchased 1918.

On the title-page the author names himself as 'Surgeon, Royal Navy, late Assistant Surgeon to the Deptford Yard. Agent for sick and wounded seamen, and one of the Surgeons of the Kent Dispensary', to which he was appointed in 1783: he resigned in 1795.
