Repeat from “Js.” 5th row.—I| half treble in front of Ist stitch, 2 in front of next, * then | in back of each of next 8 stitches, miss 1 stitch, 1 in front of next stitch, and 2 in front of next. Repeat from * once. 6th row.—2 half trebles in back of Ist stitch, | in back of each of next 2 stitches, * | half treble in front of each of next 8 stitches, 2 in back of next stitch, and | in each of next 2 stitches. Continue in this way, decreasing | stitch in each of the two large groups in next and every alternate row, and increasing | stitch in each of the three small groups in every row, till there are only 2 stitches left in each of the original “large” groups.
