    Rule 26. Every person who has held office as a Vice-President, or as one of the thirty members of the Council and Board of Management referred to in Rule 24, shall be eligible for re-election without re-nomination, provided he or she has not rendered himself or herself ineligible under Rule 65, or ceased to be a Governor. In all other cases (except that provided for in Rule 67) every person proposed for election to the office of Vice-President, or as one of the thirty members of the Council and Board of Management, must be nominated in writing (on a special form to be obtained from the Secretary) by two Governors, and such nomination shall be assented to in writing by the Governor nominated, and the nomination paper or papers must be delivered at the office of the Secretary not later than January 15th, immediately preceding the Annual Court of Governors. Rule 27. It shall be competent for any two Governors to nominate for the position of Vice-President a Governor possessing the qualifications indicated in Rule 24, or to nominate for a member of the Council and Board of Management a Governor duly qualified in accordance with Rule 26 ; but the husband or wife of a Governor nominated for re-election to any office shall not be eligible, and if two Governors being husband and wife be newly nominated for election at one time both nominations shall be invalid.
