    however, the medullary tube at its anterior portion has two ridges which form three spaces, the primary cerebral vesicles, the anterior middle, and the poste- rior cerebral vesicles, the latter of which passes immediately into the spinal cord. Soon afterward the embryonic medullary tube curves in such a way that the middle cerebral vesicle takes the uppermost position in the entire central nervous system.
