The Milk (Special Designations) (Specified Areas) Order 1954 This Order included Newport in Area No. 7 and makes compulsory the use of special designations for retail sales of milk within the Borough. Bacteriological Examination of Milk As will be seen from the following table, 166 samples of Designated milks have ben submitted for examination. All of these samples proved to be satisfactory. Regulations 1947 and 1952 84. samples were examined during the year. Of these 68 were regarded as satisfactory; but 16 reduced the methylene blue in 2 hours or less.
