My Dear Francis, Thank you so much for your letter about your trip to Europe. I am perfectly free during the second part of July and the first part of August up to 10th August when the symposium for Max begins in Cambridge, with the exception of the period from 27 July to 30 July when I must be in England for a meeting. Of course we hope you will give us a lecture and both you and Odile will be most welcome to stay here as long as you feel inclined. There are certainly enough people in this Laboratory as well as in other places in Heidelberg (e.g. Ekke Bautz, Melitta Schachner, Walter Keller and Ken Holmes) who would like to talk to you, to keep you busy several days if you feel so inclined. In addition, the surrounding countryside is very pleasant and there are a number of interesting expeditions if you want. I might add that Strasbourg is only 1 1/4 hours by car. Please let me know in due course about your plans and the title of your lecture.
