It is also clear that if the preliminary process is sufficiently effective in breaking up, softening or dissolving the protecting blood, 20 minutes’ exposure to formaldehyde solution of 2 to 24 per cent. strength, followed by drying, is sufficient to destroy all anthrax spores in material so treated.
