Should then a cafe prefent icfelf, which the flu- dent, from the characteriftic fymptoms, has referred, to the Clafs Pyrexi/E, and to the Order Febres; and fhould he in this difeafe remark no intermilTion, although it be fubject to exacerbations tv/ice in one day, he cannot be at a lofs to afeertaia the Genus, but will confider it as a Febris Centima. f ' Should he obferve cold, hot, and fweatina: flakes in fucceffion attending each paroxyfm, and followed by an intermiffion, he will not hefitate to pronounce it Febris Intermittens. Should he with Pyrexia find moderate thirfl, the evening exacerbations with the morning fweats, but no intermiflaon ^ and fhould he obferve a bran-like fediment in the urine ] he may be certain, that his patient has an Heltic.
