The first entry of Marriage and Banns is set out in full, but all subsequent ones have been shortened by omitting mere formal words. The name of the clergyman officiating, as well as those of the witnesses to the marriage, are given. The words “ of the Parish of Sanderstead,” or “of this Parish,” have been shortened by using the capital letter “S” throughout. Any discrepancies in the signatures of the contracting parties are noticed, and it is to be assumed that they signed unless it appears otherwise.—Ed.] [1755 Sep. 4] [Page 1.] Nov. 16, 9 23] •7 56 >756 Feb. 13 22, 29 May 17 [Page 2.] Richd Durnford of St Magnus, London Bridge, and Elizth Durnford of the Parish of Saunder- stead in the County of Surrey, were married by License this fourth Day of September *755> by me, Thos Gregory. This Marriage was solemnized between us [signed] Richd Durnford, [signed] Elizabeth Durnford, in the presence of us, [signed] Henry Bowyer, [signed] Thos Durnford 5 with con- sent of parents. The Banns of Marriage between John Stone of ye parish of Farley & Jane Huit of this parish were duly published in this Church for ye first time on Sunday, Novr 9, ye second time Nov1' 16, the third Nov. 23, in the year 1735.
