Or, an aggregate' compound of the Most active fAcuLtiSTs OF the material soul of the universe. • . y- • . » rlpHIS admirable Compofition is one of the pureft and moil JL fubtil effences in nature. Jt is a combination, or concen¬ tration of all her elementary powers, and vivifying influences : be¬ ing an efience extracted by air, magnetifm, and the electrical or celeftial Are, from the richeft oriental aromatics, &c. with the balmieft and moil adtive aether. A few of the richeft, mildeft, and moft cordial roots, barks, feeds, flowers, fruits, gums and balfams, which flow into this great metropolis from the four quar¬ ters of the globe, efpecially thole from Alia, and the choice!! of the Britifti iimples, are under my awn immediate infpedtion felected, properly prepared, and put into mally glafs vefiels, and upon them is poured a due quantity of the fine ft setherial fpirit. They are then placed in one of the great metallic globes on the dome of the eledlfical Temples cf Health and of Hymen, in the Apollo and other apartments of thofe great and moft ufefui Inftitutions, to be adted upon by the celeftial Are, &c. and iaftly, the eilence is purified by- filtration upon a new principle, which prevents all poflibility of the fineft and moft volatile parts evaporating. The globes are entirely lined with metal m the in—as well as on the outfide. They are twelve in number, each containing full thirty-fix gallons. The glafs vefiels too, are covered with metal, inclofed in curious magnetic cafes, and their ftoppers are pierced With glafs tubes and thick metal rods, which end in a multitude of points, from which ft reams' of the electrical fire, &c.—are conti¬ nually pouring in upon the aether and aromatics, in luminous and moft glorious fireams. The immenfe quantity of this vivifying refiorative fire, &c. which is accumulated in thefe Temples, flows thus into the medicines through the rods and tubes above-mentioned, which with the magnetic efflu¬ vium pafies even through the outfide of the glafies, &c. to the fub- fiances contained ja them; for each of the four great globes be* J ■ !
