In the last of a two-part series Stephen Fry explores the impact manic depression has had on his life. In this part we also hear from a host of celebrities who've suffered some kind of depression, including Griff Rhys-Jones, Jo Brand and Richard Dreyfuss. Professor Nick Craddock describes his study into bipolarity andn Professor Ian Reid describes how psychiatric hospitals function these days. Dorothy and Walter Schwartz tell the story of their daughter, Zoe, who committed suicide aged 27 due to bipolar disorder. Andy Behrman believes electroconvulsive shock therapy has cured his depression, and Liz Miller talks about her time sectioned in Bethlam Psychiatric Hospital as a young woman. She now works as a GP. Fry attempts Cognitive Behaviour Therapy with Jan Scott and considers whether or not medication would help him.
