Number one in a series of leaflets on plagues and pestilences issued by Menley & James Limited. The first page has a colour reproduction of an artwork by Denys Robert Charles Short (b. 1927) entitled 'London 1665', and an image under the microscope of the bacterium Pasteurella pestis. The leaflet advertises 'Furacin', 'Pendex', 'Pragmatar', 'Edrisal' tablets, 'Pyridium' tablets, and 'Drinamyl' tablets.
