![Delft in Holland, April 16th, 1674. Most Honourable, very Learned and Wise Sir, Greetings. My last letter to your address was sent on the 7th instant by means of Mr. Adriaen van Beijeren, and I have no doubt that Your Honour received the same. And since Mr. Justus van Conincxbrugh (well known to me and of gentle birth) has made it known as his intention to spend most of his time this summer in England, I cannot omit informing you, and begging you to hand any letters you may want to send to me to Mr. van Conincxbrugh aforesaid, in which case these will reach me safely; also, I cannot omit recommending this personage to you, since one never can tell what may happen to one in a foreign country, and Mr. van Conincxbrugh is a complete stranger to England. I hope you will excuse this my forwardness, and remain, Your humble servant, Antonj Leeuwenhoeck. To the Honourable, wise and very learned Mr. N. Oldenburgh, Secretary of the Royal Society in London. By friend.] o 6](https://iiif.wellcomecollection.org/image/b31364962_0001_0087.jp2/full/800%2C/0/default.jpg)
