About this work

Also known as

Surgery and scars

Description

Heart Haiku is a series of collaborative zines of patient-produced short-form poetry. Following a call for contributions on experiences of heart disease through the format of haiku, Laura Donald asked: "Maybe your only scars are tiny needle marks from blood tests, or maybe you are a fully certified member of the "zipper club" – whatever your thoughts about heart-related surgery and/or scars, love them or hate them, we want to hear about it." The haikus featured in this zine were contributed as comments on heartytales.co.uk--More information can be found on the zine maker's website. https://heartytalescouk.wordpress.com/2020/11/03/a-haiku-or-two-surgery-and-scars/
