Description

Transmission electron micrograph showing macrophages in the stroma of an ulcerated cornea. The cells have veil-like pseudopodial extensions of the cell membrane, lysosomes,phagosomes and mitochondria. Golgi apparatus are also visible in the central cell. The cell to the lower right of the field is a fibroblast. The field of view is approxmately 27 microns in diameter.
