Manuscript upon Vellum, red morocco, gilt edges (1580) The title, or first leaf of this interesting MS. consists of a well exe- cuted miniature, occupying the whole page, representing the mountains of Friuli, and the officials on horseback taking possession of that province ; beneath, the arms of the Doge of Venice. _This is followed by 177 ff. of text and 11 of table. The binding is a splendid specimen of Venetian workmanship of the XVIth century.
