![[ 18] always contains a warm atmosphere round the body. He never wears a cloth great coat, which gets very wet in rainy weather, and rnust then be extremely injurious.- Since the introduction of umbrellas, the use of great coats, except on horseback, may be given up. As to sleep, he goes to bed at nine o’clock, when he has no company staying with him, and uses his instruments in bed for a couple of hours. He never sleeps above from four to six hours, and he does not feel so well afterwards, if he takes more repose. He is always ready to get up with pleasure in the morning, The Result. Thus it appears that Admiral Henry, tcilh a view of preventing and curing disease, has taken more liberty with the human frame, than probably any man has ever, before him, attempted ; and that it has never till now been ascertained, what the body could bear, not only with impunity, but with advantage.
