Biographical note
Christopher Martin obtained his M.B., C.M. at Edinburgh in 1887, and in 1890 was appointed surgeon to the Birmingham and Midland Women's Hospital. He became F.R.C.S. in 1891, and later served in the R.A.M.C. in the First World War.
