    I 2 A.D. 1761.—N° 766. Jacksons Anti-Venereal Lotion. Kingdom of Great Britain called England, His Dominion of Wales, and Town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, in such manner as to me, the said Thomas Jackson, my executors, administrators, and assigns, or any of them, should in their discretions seem meet, and that I, the said Thomas Jackson, my executors, administrators, and assigns, should and lawfully might have and 5 enjoy the whole benefit, comodity, and advantage from time to time coming, growing, arising, and accruing, by reason of the said Invention, for and during the term of years therein and herein-after expressed, to have, hold, exercise, and enjoy the said licence, powers, priviledges, and advantages therein granted . V. . . . .. . - . . . «... . ... ■ , or mentioned to be granted unto me, the said Thomas Jackson, my executors, 10 administrators, and assigns, for and during and unto the full end and term of fourteen years from the date thereof next and immediately ensuing, and fully to be compleat and ended, according to the Statute in such case made and provided; in which said Letters Patent there is contained a proviso, that if I, the said Thomas Jackson, should not particularly describe and ascertain the 15 nature of my said Invention, and in what manner the same is to be pre¬ pared, by an instrument in writing under my hand and seal, and cause the same to be inrolled in His said Majesty’s High Court of Chancery within four calendar months next and immediately after the date of the said Letters Patent, that then the said Letters Patent, and all liberties and advantages whatsoever 20 thereby granted, should utterly cease, determine, and become void, anything therein before contained to the contrary thereof in anywise notwithstanding, as in and by the aforesaid recited Letters Patent, relation being thereunto had, may more fully and at large appear. NOW KNOW YE, that in compliance with the said proviso, I, the said 25 Thomas Jackson, do hereby describe and ascertain the nature of my said In¬ vention, and the manner in which the same is to be prepared, to be as follows (that is to say):— Take of mercurius dulcis sublimatus four ounces, and of sal vitrioli two ounces, and put the same into two gallons of a decoction of lignum sanctum, 30 which, when reduced by boiling to half the quantity, is fit for use. In witness whereof, I, the said Thomas Jackson, have hereunto put my hand and seal, the Thirty-first day of December, in the year of our Lord One thousand seven huadred and sixty-one.
