![PUBLIC HEALTH (BUILDINGS IN STREETS) ACTj 1888. 51 & 52 Vict., Chapter 52. An Act to amend the Public Health Acts in relation to Buildings in Streets. [24th December, 1888.] Whereas the provision of the Public Health Act, 1875, with respect to bringing forward houses or buildings in streets are defective, and it is expedient to make further provisions in relation thereto : Be it therefore enacted by the Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows : Short Titles and Construction. 1. This Act may be cited as the Public Health (Buildings in Streets) Act, 1888, and this Act and the Public Health Act, 1875, and the Public Health (Water) Act, 1878, and the Pubhc Health (Interments) Act, 1879, and the Public Health (Fruit Pickers' Lodgings) Act, 1882, and the Public Health, 1875 (Support of Sewers), Amendment Act, 1883, and the Public Health (Confirma- tion of Byelaws) Act, 1884, and the Public Health (Officers) Act, 1884, and the Public Health (Ships, &c.) Act, 1885, and the Public Health (Members and Officers) Act, 1885, may be cited together as the Public Health Acts, and this Act shall be construed as one with the Public Health Act, 1875. Interpretation, 2. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires, words and expressions to which meanings are assigned by the Public Health Act, 1875, have in this Act the same respective meanings.
