B. applied to-day, June 30, 1851, with gonorrhoea of some days’ standing. R. P. Rhei. 9j., Pot. Chlor. 5iv. Sp. Eth. N. 5ij., Aq. Menth. v, ad ^vi. ^er die. Graduated Injections. July 2.—Better; there is a little deep-seated pain near the frsenum. Frictions of mercury and camphor to the part. Con- tinue injections. Continue mixture, and add 5ij. of pot. chlor. to the 5vj. 5th.—The discharge is going; 3ij. more of the pot. chi. added to the mixture; 5i- twice a day. Continue the injections, &c. 7th and 10th.—The same report. Continue. ] 3th.—There is now only a little gleet. His tongue is some- what foul. R. Pulv. Rhei. 5j., Pot. Chlor. ^iv. Pot. Acet. 3iiss., Sp. Ether. Nit. ^iiss. Aq. Menth. vir. ad 5vhj. 5j‘ 15th.—Cure has been complete for a day or two. Continue the medicine and injection a little longer. Case 3.—W. C. applied July 2, 1851, with a slight discharge; asserts he has had no suspicious connexion lately. R. Inj. Sulph. Zinc. Tinct. Ferri. Mur. 5j. bis die. Aug. 7.—The discharge has become purulent. 28th.—Worse ; he has done nothing for it. R. Pulv. Rhei. 3j., Ess. Camph. 5j. Liq. Potass, c. ad 5yj. 3j- o- Inj. S. Z. Inj. Arg. Nit. once a week. By the 25th of September the discharge was entirely gone, two bottles of the mixture having sufficed. Case 4.—Mr. M. applied July 4, 1851, with severe gonorrhoea; fainted on the pipe of the syringe being introduced. R. Mist. Rhei. c. Liq. Pot. o. 5j- ter die. Graduated Injections, beginning with Sulph. of Alum. By the 9th he was able to bear an injection; but deep severe pain near the frsenum set in.
