About this work

Description

Explains what glaucoma is, how it is caused, diagnosed and treated. Emphasises that the disease is controllable and the glaucoma sufferer can lead a quite normal life. A woman who had a delayed diagnosis of glaucoma describes how this has affected her life. Her sight loss is a disability and affects the quality of her life. The rest of the film is technical and explains what glaucoma is using medical animation. Later sequences show older patients living with glaucoma and having normal lives.
