Description

Material relating to the artist Sam Winston's project "Following the breath" (2021). "Following the Breath" was commissioned by Barbican creative learning and is a work of participatory art around the theme of breathing. Archive includes: Folder 1 (smaller folder): - Selection of drawings created from public participation (9 items) Folder 2 (larger folder): - "Following the Breath" event leaflet - Selection of tests by Sam Winston using different substances to make inks and their effects on different papers - Document listing separate aspects of the commission such as dates of events and available film. Sam Winston is a UK based artist. Initially known for his typography and artist’s books he employs a variety of different approaches including drawing, performance and poetry.
