Some condemned food was however disposed of to the destructor works, and a certain amount used in the processing of waste food for pig food. The destructor works will not he available for disposal ot condemned food during 1954. A summary of the foodstuff's condemned as a result of damage by Hood waters is given in the report on the flooding which occurred on the night of 31 January-lst February, which appears on page 127. 6. DISEASES OF ANIMALS. Tuberculosis Order, 1938. Three cows were slaughtered in the Borough under this Order. During the year two calves were found, on post-mortem inspection at a slaughterhouse, to be affected with congenital tuberculosis. Details were sent to the local Veterinary Inspector of the Ministry of Agri- culture and Fisheries for his information and further action Anthrax Order, 1938.
