During the year ten mental defectives under statutory supervision have been re-examined hy the ('ouneil’s approved Medical Offie(‘rs, as a rt'sult of wlTudi three eases have been la'juoved from th(‘ Couneil's records. Owing to th(‘ s(*attered nature of the C'ounty it has not been |)raetieable to establish oe(*u|)ation (‘entres for mental defectives. Instruction in occupational and handicraft work was, however, ])rovided by the Council during fhe year for 31 defectives residing in tlu'ir own home's, this work bt'ing undertaken hy the social worker.
