    jifflemortal UPON TIIE DEATH OF LAURENCE H. H. JOHNSON The members of the Corporation of the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital have to record with profound regret their loss by the death on June 24, 1934, of their associate, Mr. Laurence H. H. Johnson. As trustee under the will of Peter Bent Brigham before the Hospital became incorporated in 1902, Mr. Johnson’s services were valuable. Since that date, he has been a member of the Corporation and its Secretary, and has served in both capacities with peculiar faithfulness. His records as Secretary have been a model of precision and clarity without waste of words. The members of the Corporation will feel his loss in their continued effort to promote the great charitable purposes of the Hospital. jftemortal UPON THE DEATH OF OTTO FOLIN On October 25, 1934, in the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital, died Otto Folin, Consulting Chemist since 1912. Internation¬ ally recognized as a leader in that phase of biochemistry con¬ cerned with micromethods of analysis of blood and body fluids, Prof. Folin and his pupils developed technical procedures, utilized daily in the diagnostic and therapeutic management of patients sick of many different diseases. We at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital long had the valued privilege of the personal advice of a master of methods, which were in constant use in our clinics, and our patients profited thereby. We, the staff and members of the Corporation of the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital, herewith record our appreciation of the life and work of Prof. Folin and in sorrow extend to his wife and children our heartfelt sympathy.
