Sometimes notwithstanding ye use of these Remedies, I am forced to use ye following Bath, especially when a Stone is come down from ye Kidneys and stops in ve Bladder. R Rad. Alth. fbj, Rad. When ye pains and all other Symptoms are per- fectly gone, I order some lenient Purge : But to 1 purge ye Patient sooner, nay even to mix ye least I purgative Ingredients wth his Clysters doe much harm, by irritating ye parts allready vexed wth ve II Disease, & causing in ym & ye Humours an high Tumult; besides yt ye Purge (tlio very strong) .given in vR height of this Disease will hardly work, or iff [itt] doth, increase ve pain.
