Münster's 'Cosmographia' was first published in Basel in 1544 and appeared in an enlarged edition containing around 900 illustrations and 40 maps in 1550.
Possibly from the the 1550 and/or 1552 Latin editions according to similar examples in the British Museum.
The Cosmographia described and explained the cosmos, revolutionising how 16th century readers viewed the physical world; it was popular passing through 40 editions in German, Latin, Czech, Italian, French and English.
