Applegarth.—In too many cases the Registrar requires to admonish parents by send- ing compulsory notices, and in almost every in- stance they are immediately complied with; were the fine of a shilling to be imposed by the Regis- trar for having to issue such notices, the neces- sity for doing so would be in a great measure removed. 822. Dunscore.—Great attention is paid to vaccination, both by parents and medical prac- titioners. 840. Lochmaben.—There are no defaulters, but there is a great deal of extra labour, and the remuneration is very inadequate. 32. Kirkcudbright. 871. Kirkcudbright.—This year vaccination has been better attended to than usual. 33. Wigtown. 893. New Luce.—The Vaccination Act is working well. 901. Wigtown.—Vaccination is generally well attended to. No defaulters for 1869. ✓
